Callers hear an AI introduction and recording notice

Your receptionist identifies itself as a virtual assistant and says the call is recorded at the start of each call. Both notices stay on when it answers as your business.

  • Clear introduction

Callers hear that they are speaking with a virtual assistant.

  • Recording notice

The opening greeting tells the caller that the conversation is recorded.

  • Fixed disclosure

These notices remain active when you change your business instructions.

The greeting makes the assistant's role clear before it begins collecting inquiry details. Your business name and instructions guide the conversation, while the virtual assistant and recording notices cannot be switched off.

The browser demo also records and transcribes conversations to show you the result. Use a fictional buyer, seller, or showing request when trying it. You can hear the opening and the intake questions in the recorded demo conversation before deciding whether to forward calls from your own number.

Review where records are available and how long they stay

Call records are available in your dashboard and sent with call alerts. We use service providers to operate the service, with recording retention set to the period your business chooses.

  • Your call records

Review recordings, transcripts, and summaries through your business's service dashboard.

  • Service providers

Hosting, storage, telephone, AI, and email providers help operate call handling.

  • Retention choices

Choose 30 or 90 days for recordings, which are then deleted.

Your business decides what caller information to collect and why; we process that information on your behalf. Hosting and storage, telephone carriers, AI voice and text providers, and email delivery providers support the service. Your dashboard holds call history, transcripts, recordings, usage, and settings for your business.

Recordings are deleted after your selected 30-day or 90-day period. Transcripts and summaries remain while your account is open and are deleted within 30 days after closure or on request. Email and app push alerts include the call summary, urgency tag, transcript, and recording.

Understand how AI providers handle service data

AI model providers process voice and text to deliver the receptionist. By default, OpenAI does not train its models on our API data.

  • Service processing

Voice and text model providers help the receptionist handle conversations.

  • Training default

OpenAI does not use our API data for model training by default.

  • Our data use

We never sell personal information or market using callers' data.

AI processing is part of how your receptionist responds to callers and produces call records. Voice and text model providers are among the service provider categories we use, alongside telephone carriers, hosting and storage, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics.

The training statement describes OpenAI's default treatment of our API data; it does not mean no provider processes a conversation. Our own commitments are also specific: we never sell personal information, and we never use callers' information for our marketing. See the full data handling policy for the categories we collect and the privacy request contact.

Choose retention and request access or deletion

You choose the recording retention period and can request access, correction, or deletion by email. Callers can contact the business they called or send their request to us.

  • Recording retention

Select a 30-day or 90-day period for your business's recordings.

  • Privacy requests

Email [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion, or an opt-out.

  • Caller requests

People who called your business may contact you or us about their information.

Recording retention and transcript retention follow different schedules. Recordings are deleted after the period you choose, while transcripts and summaries are kept during the open account and deleted within 30 days of closure or on request.

Send privacy requests to [email protected]. If you are a caller, explain which business you contacted so your request has useful context. For ordinary help with your account, use [email protected]. Your dashboard gives you access to call records, usage, and settings; you can change receptionist settings by telling the AI what you want in plain words.

The AI can make mistakes. Review call summaries and keep a backup way for people to reach you. For gas smells, CO alarms, sparks or burning smells, or flooding near electricity, the receptionist tells callers to get everyone out and call 911 or the utility from outside. For fire: "Get everyone out first, then call 911 from outside." Medical emergencies or anyone in danger: hang up and call 911 right now. It then alerts you. It does not replace emergency services.
